Police have arrested a person on the charge of raping a girl inside a tipper.
A team of Police Circe, Thankot, arrested Gyan Bahadur Nepali, 32, of Gauri Shankar rural municipality-8 in Dolakha on Monday for raping a 17-year-old girl inside a tipper parked on the way to Thankot depot of the Nepal Oil Corporation at Chandragiri municipality-7.
Superintendent of Police at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Dinesh Raj Mainali, said Nepali had raped the girl on July 8 inside the parked tipper (Ra 1 Kha 2734). The tipper driver Nepali had brought the woman along with him to Thankot from Gaushala in the tipper.
The team deployed under the leadership of Chief Dilli Narayan Pandey rescued the woman and send her to Maternity Hospital for treatment, he added.
Investigation into the case was underway remanding Nepali to five-day custody.
