KATHMANDU: US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu has arrived in Nepal for a three-day visit.
He landed in Kathmandu on Sunday after traveling to India and Sri Lanka. According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, Lu, who oversees South and Central Asian Affairs, will meet with Nepali leaders and engage with civil society during his visit.
The embassy highlighted that the trip aims to deepen Nepal-US cooperation in areas such as environmental protection, women's empowerment, cultural preservation, and sustainable development.
Additionally, Lu will hold discussions with youth groups.
The embassy emphasized that the visit reflects the US's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and advancing cooperation in these important sectors.
