KATHMANDU: The statement of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has begun in the District Court, Kaski.
Judge Nitij Rai has begun recording the statement of Lamichhane who has been made a defendant in the Surya Darshan Cooperative fraud case in Pokhara.
Rabi's statement began after the statement of another defendant, Lila Pachai, concluded on Thursday. Earlier, the statement of former DIG of Nepal Police Chhabilal Banjade Joshi had concluded.
Now, the statements of Ram Bahadur Khanal and Dev Kumar Nepali are yet to be recorded. The court is preparing to conclude their statements by Friday. 31 people, including Lamichhane, have been made defendants in the Surya Darshan Cooperative fraud case. Four people have been charged with money laundering and two with crypto.
After the statements are completed, an order will be issued to keep them in custody or release them.
