As the road from Sisdol to Banchare Danda has to be repaired, the waste management work of Kathmandu Valley will be affected today and tomorrow.

The work of bringing garbage to Banchare Danda has been stopped today and tomorrow due to the garbage piled up in Sisdol of Nuwakot. To reach Banchare Danda, two kilometers from Sisdol, one has to cross a pile of garbage.

Garbage has started to rot as soon as the rainy season starts. The Department of Environment of the CPN (Maoist) has stated that it is going to clean the place by stopping the work of bringing garbage from the valley as there is a danger of an accident while transporting the rotten garbage from above. According to Sarita Rai, head of the CPN-UML's environment department, the problem has arisen due to regular rains for the past few days. Due to the continuous rain, there is a problem on the road from Kathmandu to Banchare Danda, the last garbage management site.

Under normal circumstances, up to 300 garbage trucks used to reach Banchare Danda every day. Due to the obstruction of the road, due to rains, hardly 100 vehicles have been managing garbage. Garbage management at 18 local levels in the Kathmandu Valley has been becoming a problem since it started raining regularly every year during the rainy season.

The stench had spread in the Kathmandu Valley as the garbage of 18 local levels of the Kathmandu Valley could not be managed for 46 days when the locals and people's representatives of Sisdol Banchare Danda made various demands from last February to May. Although the party has agreed with the locals and people's representatives a few days ago to solve the problems of the locals of Sisdol Banchare Danda, there is an environment to regularize the work of waste management.

Meanwhile, the party has issued a notice saying that it will impose a fine if the garbage is not classified from the source from July 20. According to the department, a fine of Rs. 500 will be imposed for non-segregation during garbage collection.
