At the time when the country has witnessed the gradual rise in the new cases of coronavirus infection what the analysts have called 'second wave of coronavirus infection', youths were seen flocking to 'Kathmandu Fun Valley' on Saturday.
Although the government has urged the citizens not to take part in the gatherings at public places and to compulsorily maintain safety measures to prevent the viral infection, youths were seen having fun — swimming and enjoying live music — at 'Kathmandu Fun Valley' in Palanse, Suryabinayak Municipality of Bhaktapur.
The water sports section constructed with the investment of Rs 110 million have come into operation from Saturday to promote the domestic tourism, it has been learnt.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population Saturday reported 337 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nepal with the decrease in total recovery rate by 0.1 per cent.
As many as 56 Nepali migrant workers who had recently returned from various Indian cities had tested positive for COVID-19 on antigen-test last Friday and Saturday alone.
Likewise, India Friday reported 131,968 new COVID-19 infections, a record increase for a third straight day, data from the health ministry showed. Deaths had risen by 780 to a total of 167,642.
On Thursday only, the world set new records for COVID-19 deaths and new coronavirus infections.
