Charimai, a fiction written by Anjana Paudel, has been released in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Prof Dr. Binju Sharma released the fiction, which is written on the issues of trafficking of women and girls. Sharma said that this book is a powerful voice against trafficking in persons.
Published by Indigo Ink, Charimai is dedicated to thousands of trafficking survivors and those who lost their lives in the fight against this heinous crime, writer Paudel said.
According to Paudel, this fiction is a collective voice of trafficked and marginalized women.
Writing his foreword on the book, novelist Krishna Dharabasi has stated that this book has worked as a strong voice against the trafficking of women and girls and has unveiled the serious issues of those Nepali rural girls who are forced to work as sex workers in the cities of Nepal and India.
