Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx is not in the pink of health.

The 'Robin Hood' star has been admitted to a hospital in Georgia, CNN reported.

On Wednesday night, Jamie's daughter Corinne Foxx took to Instagram and shared that her father had experienced a "medical complication," adding that he is "on his way to recovery."

"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," the daughter's post read.

The family asked for privacy and the statement was signed off with these words, "The family asks for privacy during this time."

The daughter did not specify what happened medically. The exact nature of Foxx's medical scare has not been disclosed.

The Update about Jamie's ill health left his fans worried.

Reacting to his daughter's post, a social media user commented, "What happened? I hope he recovers soon."

"Prayers for Jamie's speedy recovery," another one wrote.

On the professional front, Jamie was last seen on the sets of Back in Action - a Netflix film that also co-stars Cameron Diaz. It will mark Diaz's comeback to movies after the Annie remake that came out in 2014. Coincidently, that film featured Jamie Foxx as well.

His upcoming projects also include Cloned Tyrone ( which he is also producing), God Is a Bullet, The Burial, Tin Soldier and Groove Tails. He is also producing a project titled Geechee and will give a voiceover in the film Strays.
