The Embassy of republic of Korea to Nepal organized Experience Korean Culture night in Kathmandu. The program included Korean food, traditional games, handbook experience, quiz along with Kpop and Taekwondo demonstration. The final round of Korean Speech Contest was also completed. The winners were provided with certificates and gift hampers. Along with it, the winners of 2023 Online K Culture Video Contest were also given the certificates and gift hampers.
The program also included, Hanbok Fashion Show: Korean traditional clothes and designs by Nepali designers. Korean traditional desserts display: Display of Korean traditional desserts made with ingredients found in Nepal as well as similar foods in Nepal. Musical Performance: Jhigu Matina: Korean, Nepali and American Band members. Taekwondo Demonstration by Nepal Police academy team.
During the opening of Korean night Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Tae-young said that
Culture exchange is an important foundation of understanding each other. Further, Nepal and Korea share many cultural aspects like Buddhism, food and family values.
The Korean Culture Night is an event annually to showcase various aspects of Korean culture with Nepali people organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal since 2014.
