Actress Palpasa Dangol has undergone a successful kidney transplant at the Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj. For the past few months, Dangol was diagnosed with kidney failure. According to the reports, the kidney has been provided by Ajju Dangol, brother, as the Law of Nepal says that a close relative can only donate his kidney for a transplant.
Doctors led by Professor Dr Divya Singh were involved in the transplant which took about 5 hours. Currently, the actress is said to be in good health.
According to hospital sources, Palpsa will be kept in RTO for a week and her brother Aju will also have to stay for 4/5 days.
The Filmmakers' Welfare Fund under the Film Development Board has also decided to provide Rs 200,000 for the actress's treatment.
