A rape case has been filed against actor Paul Shah in the Nawalpur District Court.
An indictment was filed against the actor by the public prosecutor's office on Thursday on the basis of a complaint filed by a 16-year-old girl.
According to Assistant District Attorney Dal Bahadur Nepali of the District Public Prosecutor's Office, she has filed the case claiming that he has committed a crime under Sections 1 and 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS. Under Article 219 (3) (c) of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS, if the victim is between the ages of 14 and 16 will be punished for 12 to 14 years.
The teenager had lodged a complaint claiming that she was raped at a resort in Nawalparasi East. Shah is currently in the custody of the District Police Office, Tanahun. In Tanahun, police are investigating. The case has yet to reach the court yet.
