Team Duluwa wins 'My Village My Place' Video Challenge 2023

In the 'My village, my place video challenge 2023, the title of best video of the year has been won by Team Duluwa's 'The Northern Wall'. Apart from this, the team also received the Video Challenge 2023 Award with a cash prize of five lakhs.

Similarly, the second important 'Judges' Choice Award' winner of the competition is Aryan Kunwar's 'Mayuri Chal'. It won the 'My village, my place' award with two lakhs in cash.

The "Most Energetic Video Maker" award of the competition was won by Team Duluwa's "My Village Taksera". It won an award with one lakh cash. Contestants who sent more than one video were made to compete in it.

In the competition, awards were given in a total of ten categories.

'Future Star of the Year' - Adarsh Pandey, 'Most Potential Destination' - Sandakpur Rural Municipality, 'Best Editor' - Akash Dhimal, 'Best Script - Voice Over' - Ruman Thapa, 'Best Story Concept, Direction' - Suresh Kumar Mukhia , 'Women Video Maker of the Year' - Garima Bhandari and 'Best Cinematographer' - Santosh Malekar won. Along with this, the winner received a video challenge award with one lakh rupees in cash.

Out of 258 videos received in 2020 and 2023, 70 videos were nominated in different ten categories. The competition was jointly organized by the Foundation and Nepal Television.

In a program held at Rastriya Sabha Griha, the founder and president of the foundation, Tulsi Kumar Gurung, said that the video challenge has played an important role in highlighting the underprivileged areas.

Nirmal Shrestha, director and program coordinator of the foundation, said that from next year, another category 'My Village, My Place International' will be added targeting Nepalis living abroad.

Samirjung Shah, executive chairman of Nepal Television, said that this video challenge will play a very important role in moving forward in the tourism sector.

The chief guest Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha said that in the coming days, the development and strengthening of organizations like We Will Rise will be successful in bringing the identity and progress of Nepal to a more advanced level.

Actor and Film Development Board Chairman Bhuvan KC said that this program has highlighted the beautiful places of Nepal for national and international film destinations.
