Nepal Police Dog training school started in 1990 A.D along with Regional Dog Section in all five development regions. Police dogs are trained to assist police in their work and investigation. The dogs are trained for Arms and Explosives Identification, Tracker training, Search and Rescue Training, Drugs Identification Training, and Veterinary Orientation Training.
According to the handler inside Nepal Police Canine Operation Division, “Dogs are trained twice from 8 am to 10 am and from 2 pm to 4 pm.” “There is also a leisure time in the evening where we release dogs to just let them play around,” he added.
