A total of seven Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in clashes between Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli soldiers in the West Bank on Friday, the Palestinian health ministry said.
According to a ministry press statement, five of them were killed in clashes with Israeli soldiers in different places, and a sixth was killed during an attempt to stab an Israeli soldier.
The seventh was a prosecutor and lawyer, who was seriously injured by Israeli soldiers during demonstrations in support of Gaza and Jerusalem in the northern West Bank city of Nablus and died later in a nearby medical center.
Palestinian sources said clashes broke out on Friday in several towns and villages in the West Bank when Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters, rubber bullets and gunshots to disperse the Palestinian demonstrators.
