The month of Shrawan is considered to be sacred in Nepal. During this month, especially on Mondays, Hindu devotees and revelers throng Shiva temples to worship Lord Shiva. However, the prohibitory order issued by the District Administration Office has restricted the gathering at public places including religious sites in view of the third wave of COVID-19. The pujaris at the temples have been limited to carrying out only the daily rituals.
