The government had said that it would enforce the prohibition orders more strictly from today but in the inner lanes and by-lanes of Kathmandu valley there is no police checking. People are out and about and shops are open, making a mockery of the shutdown despite the growing number of infections and deaths. The police have intensified checking of vehicles on the main roads and shops are allowed to open only from 7 to 9 in the morning. But we can still see that people have not taken the issue as seriously as they should have and are moving around within the inner streets of the valley.
