India's COVID-19 tally rose to 31,812,114 on Thursday as 42,982 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry's latest data.
Besides, as many as 533 deaths were recorded since Wednesday morning, taking the death toll to 426,290.
Currently, there are 411,076 active cases in the country with an increase of 723 during the period.
A total of 30,974,748 people have recovered and been discharged from hospitals so far, with 41,726 new recoveries.
