Minister of Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel has urged the international organizations including UNESCO to increase the support for educational development of the country. Returning home after attending the 41st General Assembly of UNESCO in Paris, France, he said that he had made the request to the representatives of those organizations.
He added that the support of the international community was needed for the creation of employment opportunities in the country as emphasis should be laid on skill-based education and educational quality. The Minister had said that Nepal was making progress in education, health and employment in the exchange of good wishes program organized by Nepali Jana Pragatisheel Manch, France.
Minister Paudal was accompanied by Secretary at the Ministry of Education Ram Prasad Thapaliya and Assistant Secretary General of the Nepal National Commission for UNESCO Nepal Dr Baburam Adhikari.
