At least two people died and one other sustained injury in two recent road accidents in Afghanistan, police authorities said on Friday.
In the first crash, which occurred in the Shinwari district of Parwan province on Thursday night, a woman was killed and another person was injured, according to a statement from the provincial police office.
In another accident, a vehicle deviated from the road and overturned due to reckless driving in Laghman province on Thursday, leaving one dead, Laghman's police office said.
Ramshackle roads, lack of security measures during travel, old vehicles, and reckless driving are often blamed for road accidents in Afghanistan.
