Ukraine who is at war with Russia, on Monday reiterated its demand for EU membership. Ukrainian President Valodimir Jelinski has again demanded that Ukraine join the European Union immediately.
In a new video message, he mentions the need to join the European Union, as other countries and their own country agree. On the fifth day of Russia's invasion, he said he wanted to become a member because it would be easier for him to fight Russia and get help.
He said in a video message that "now we need immediate assistance to make it a member of the European Union and to the best of our ability."
"It is not possible to discuss everything now and we are in a very difficult situation," the 44-year-old president said in a statement. He emphasized the need to work with all European countries and to work together.
