Myanmar reported 17 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of infections to 142,017 on Friday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The death toll remained at 3,200, with no new death in the past 24 hours, the release said.
A total of 131,600 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals, and 2,738 samples were tested for COVID-19 on Friday, down from around 10,000 samples tested daily in the first week of last month.
COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 last year.
