Ninety-seven households, who were displaced after a massive landslide at Silichong Rural Municipality two years ago, are obliged to live a harsh life for lack of their proper resettlement plans.

In the landslide that occurred two years ago at Besina village in Sankhuwasabha district, 11 persons had gone missing and 97 households were displaced.

Currently, those displaced households are living under the tarps.

The affected households have bemoaned indifference of the stakeholders for their resettlement. Of those 97 households, 25 are in Chitre, 12 in Bakhaltumtar and others in the district headquarters, Khandbari, and are living temporarily, according to rural municipality chairman Bhupalraj Mewahang.
