Electricity production reduced due to power supply issue

Entrepreneurs have complained that the production has been cut due to an irregular supply of electricity. Complaining about this, Prakash Mundada, president of the Morang Trade Association, discussed the issue of electricity in Katahari village municipality and Morang-Sunsari Industrial Corridor with Teknath Tiwari, chief of the Nepal Electricity Authority's provincial office in Province No. 1 and Mithilesh Kumar Gohiwar, chief of the Biratnagar Distribution Center.

Chairman Mundada said that despite the 33 kV line connection in the surrounding areas including Katahari village under the Morang-Sunsari Industrial Corridor, it is difficult to operate the industry due to tripping, low quality and irregular power supply and most of the industries are forced to cut production.

He informed that damage to the electrical equipment of the industry due to power tripping and voltage instability, waste of raw materials in the process of production and maintaining the required temperature are bad and need to be recycled.

Stating that there is a shortage of power supply even during the rainy season, slow maintenance work and frequent power cuts without prior notice from the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Told.

 He suggested that NEA should take concrete steps for a quick solution to the existing problem and manage quality power supply in a way to reduce the cost of industrial production as the cost of the industry has increased due to the continuous increase in electricity tariff and demand tariff. The NEA chief assured that the NEA would move ahead with a plan soon on the problems of industrialists and traders.
