Health workers of Kanchanpur, who were directly deployed in the ranks during the second wave of corona infection, have not received the risk allowance even after a long time.
As the transition to the third phase of the Omicron variant continues to grow, health workers say there is still confusion over whether the government will provide the risk allowance. Auxiliary Health Workers (AHW) Gopal Dutta Pant, who works at Mahakali Provincial Hospital in Mahendranagar, said that he received only two months' risk allowance during the second wave of Corona.
"In the first wave, the government gave 100 percent allowance to health workers for four months." He said, "In the second wave, we have not received the allowance for two months yet." The health workers of the Palika level said that they received the risk allowance only during the first wave.
Siddharth Bhatta, a person related to COVID-19 of the health office, said that the health workers have not received the risk allowance fixed by the government. "Even though some of them get a few from their municipality, not all of them have been able to get the allowance." He said, "They haven't said no but it's too late". Last July, the government had decided to give a 50 percent risk allowance to health workers.
