The chairperson of the National Coordinating Council (NCC) of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has urged the association's patron council and high-level committee to resume work. Former NCNA presidents Shesh Ghale and Devman Hirachan called the meeting saying that the organization was in serious crisis.

NCC USA President Wuddhi Subedi said that the decision of the International Coordinating Council (ICC) meeting on March 2 to dissolve the Guardian Council and the High Level Committee without a quorum was unconstitutional and had no legal status. He objected to the NCC's letter to Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia asking them to abolish the fee. "That letter should be withdrawn. The decision to dissolve the Guardian Council should be reversed, "he said.

Ghale, the former president of the association, said that his main objective was to unite and strengthen the NCC and urged the NCCs to revive the broken unity and ties. He said that the NCCs were autonomous and sovereign and urged the NCCs to continue their good work.

Former president Hirachan said that the meeting was convened as he was very worried about the current situation of the association. "It is not an organization created for personal gain, it is an organization created for the benefit of Nepalis around the world. Don't believe that we are about to break up the organization. In any case, this institution must be saved, "he said.

Kul Acharya, advisor to the association and candidate for the post of central chairperson, said that it was a battle between truth and untruth and added that the decision to dismiss the high-level committee and patron council when needed was pushing the organization towards division. "If the current leadership continues to do wrong, we cannot remain silent. We also have to take some steps, ”said Acharya.

The four-point resolution passed by the meeting called on the Guardian Council and the High Level Committee to work as before. The meeting also called on the Chief Patron, Dr. Shesh Ghale, the Patron and the High Level Committee to take all necessary initiatives to hold the Tenth General Convention on the basis of consensus and cooperation by saving the Union from the brink of division.

The meeting called for moving ahead with the election program only after resolving the representative dispute as the convener of the high-level committee Ghale objected to the claim on the voter list published by the election committee and the investigation conducted by the high-level committee showed a big difference in the number of delegates voting for the tenth general convention.

The meeting also urged the ICC and the Election Committee to ensure free, fair and fraud-free election, saying that the Election Committee has made serious arrangements for making selfies mandatory and keeping the provision of alternative voters which is not in the constitution.

Speaking at a virtual meeting, NCC Japan's founding president Rajan Pradhanang (Japan) alleged that the activities were aimed at capturing the organization. NCC Austria President Bhavani Tiwari said that there was a lot of discrimination against NCCs.

Former treasurer of the association Hikmat Thapa said that the current leadership is moving ahead with the intention of capturing the organization. Secretary of the Association RK Sharma urged to move forward by rectifying the existing shortcomings. Narayan Acharya, Regional Coordinator for Europe, Chhabilal Kandel, President of NCC Italy, and Shani Kumar Oli, Honorary Member of ICC, expressed their views.
