Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation America welcomed Senior Photographer Kiran Man Chitrakar in the office of GPK Foundation America, located at Woodside, Queens, New York. Mr. Chitrakar is a senior photographer and Former Deputy General Manager of Nepal Television. He is also part of a dynasty of Nepal’s royal court painters and photographers that goes back more than two centuries and continues his family’s long history of photography, having served as Nepal’s court photographer until 2008. His current photos, alongside those from his family archive, the historic six photographs of the Father of Modern Nepal and five times Prime Minister of Nepal Late Girija Prasad Koirala were captured by Kiran Man Chitrakar and Gopal Chitrakar and those six historic photographs were handed over to Somnath Ghimire- President of GPK Foundation America on August 4th, 2024 amid a small function in the office of GPK Foundation 🇺🇸.
