Telephone and internet services have been disrupted in Gurja of Dhaulagiri RM-1 of Myagdi due to rain and snowfall for the past two days.

Ward Chairman Jhak Bahadur Chhantyal informed that the telephone and internet services have been disrupted due to the continuous snowfall since Tuesday night. "The village has been left without communication due to the snowfall. Repairs will be done after the weather clears," said Chairman Chhantyal.

The roofs of houses in Bagar, Sinkos and other settlements in Dhaulagiri footpath, the forest and the land are completely covered in a thick blanket of snow. Although the farmers are happy after the snowfall, the livestock farmers are in trouble as they are not able to manage grass for their animals. Heavy snowfall has occurred in the upper regions of Myagdi on Wednesday.

According to Bal Bahadur BK of Mudi, the locals have become very tired after the snow covered their houses and sidewalks. Heavy snowfall has been reported in Gurja village and surrounding areas of the district at an altitude of 3,220 meters above sea level. People's life in the village has become difficult due to snow cover on the sidewalks around Gurja village.

Cold and snow have made it difficult for children and the elderly to take risks. The movement has also been stopped in Deurali area bordering Ward No. 1 Gurja and Ward No. 3 Lulang of the village municipality due to snowfall. If there is continuous snowfall in Gurja, up to four feet of snow may be experienced.
