One person has been injured in a tiger attack at Madhyabindu of Nawalpur. Tek Bahadur Kumal, 60, of Dhokadi in Madhyabindu Municipality-15 has been injured in a tiger attack this afternoon. He was attacked by a tiger while grazing cattle in Bhulpani Chaur.
Kumal has sustained serious head injuries in the attack. His condition is critical. Kumal, who was injured in the attack, was rescued by locals and brought to Madhyabindu District Hospital, Danda for treatment. According to Inspector Sagar Pant of the District Police Office, Nawalpur, Bharatpur was recommended after general treatment at Madhyabindu.
Locals are scared of tigers in Dumkibas, Arunkhola, and Madhyabindu areas of Nawalpur. Earlier, two people were killed in a month-long tiger attack in the area. Locals have become more worried as tigers continue to attack people. They have complained that there is no concrete initiative to control tigers that attack humans.
The Division Forest Office, Nawalpur, has issued a notice requesting not to enter the forest area after the tigers started attacking people in the area. The office has requested to go to the forest area to graze cattle, cut grass, pick neuro and mushrooms. The Division Forest Office has urged to be careful while going to the forest area as the process for tiger control is moving forward and there are still risks.
