The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday reported 105 new cases of coronavirus in Nepal. The addition of new cases has taken the country’s COVID-19 tally to 271,707.
Of the newly infected, 48 are females while 57 are males.
Likewise, the three districts of Kathmandu valley have registered 58 cases of coronavirus — 43 in Kathmandu and 12 in Lalitpur and three in Bhaktapur— in the past 24 hours. Of the newly infected, 33 are reported to be females and 25 are males.
In the past 24 hours, 272 people diagnosed with the infection have recovered as per the data shared by MoHP. Altogether, 267,564 individuals have recovered from COVID-19 as of Friday.
Currently, the country has 2,108 active cases with a 98.5 per cent recovery rate.
The nationwide death toll from the disease has reached 2,035 with the death of two more persons in the last 24 hours, the MoHP shared.
Earlier, the MoHP on Thursday had reported 171 cases of coronavirus infection taking the country’s COVID-19 tally to 271,602.
More than 104.97 million people have been reported to be infected by novel coronavirus while at least 2,285,052 people have died from the respiratory contagion worldwide, a Reuters tally showed.
