12 infected with COVID in Bhutanese refugee camp

The Health Department of Damak Municipality has said that 12 people living in a Bhutanese refugee camp had been infected with the coronavirus. The infections were confirmed during tests done of people living in the Bhutanese refugee camp located in Beldangi, Damak-3, on Sunday.

BadriBaral, Officer at the Health Department of Damak Municipality, informed that the 12 cases were confirmed during the antigen test conducted on 31 people. He mentioned that the 12 infected people had been provided with necessary medicines and asked to stay in home isolation.

Meanwhile YubarajSanpang, former secretary of the Bhutanese refugee camp in Beldangi, said that five people living in the camp had already died due to COVID-19.
