As many as 12 persons have been injured in a jeep accident in Lamjung. The accident took place at Bhusme in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-8.
The jeep (GA 1 JA 6317) en route to Pishildada from Simpani-9 met with an accident today morning, said Homraj Tamang, local of Bhusme.
According to Tamang, 10 were rescued and brought to District hospital, but there is a problem in rescuing the remaining two.
The students and teachers of Simpani-based Ganesh Secondary School were onboard in the jeep. It has been reported that the jeep fell almost 50 meters down the road while reversing the vehicle.
Security personnel deployed from Khudi Police Area have already reached the accident site and a rescue operation is underway. A team led by DSP Krishna Bahadur Karki of the District Police Office is traveling to the site.
