As high as 200 households of Setigaun in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-8 in the district of Doti are at high risk of landslides.
Chairman of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-8 Ram Bahadur Khadka said that the landslides have been taking place continuously even after slight rain which has panicked the locals.
He stated that the entire village is at risk of landslides if heavy rain occurs.
The local residents have expressed their displeasure to the authorities demanding measures for control and prevention of the landslides.
The entire village is awaiting relocation because of uncontrolled landslides, said Tirmalsingh Kunjeda, a local resident. "It could cause a huge loss if relocation of the local people was delayed," he warned.
Furthermore, the drinking water supply and irrigation canals have been washed away in the landslides, making the locals' lives further difficult.
