Police have arrested three people, including a woman, on charges of murdering an Indian national. The arrested are Subedi Thapa, 32, of Arjundhara Municipality-7, Brikh Bahadur Thapa, 49, and Suresh Pariyar, 25, of Sunsari Barah Area Municipality-10.
Police have arrested the three on the charge of murdering an Indian citizen Japadia Naresh Kumar Babu Bhai. At a press conference held at the Area Police Office, Anarmani, District Police Chief Bishwa Mani Pokharel said that 40-year-old Naresh Kumar Babu, a resident of Kunwar Nagar, Jayantilal Ni Chali Bhargab Road, was killed at Thapa's house.
It was informed at the press conference that he was acquainted with Januka who arrived in India in December, 2019 AD for work. Naresh Kumar Babu was arrested by the Area Police Office, with 59,000 Indian rupees. After his arrest, he was released on bail from the Inland Revenue Office. It was informed at the press conference that he had come to Nepal to explain the date and had been staying at Januka's house for three days.
According to Superintendent of Police Pokharel, Januka was allegedly abused in front of her husband while she was staying at his house. It was informed at the press conference that the body of Naresh Kumar was found wrapped in a sack inside the hume pipe of the inner Kutchi road section of Jukekhadi-Sahasi Tol in Arjundhara Municipality-4.
Initially, Rs. 25,000 was given to Pariyar for the murder of Naresh Kumar. The identification of the other person has not been disclosed by the police. The Thapa couple had agreed to spend Rs. 500,000 to assassinate Naresh Kumar and they have already paid Rs. 300,000 as per the agreement. It was agreed to give the remaining Rs. 200,000 later.
