Three persons died and four others went missing in different places of Dolakha district due to rainfall triggering landslides and floods in a week.
A person and his son were swept away by a stream at Rakham of Bigu Rural Municipality in the district Sunday afternoon. They were Nima Dorje Sherpa, 35, and his 12-year-old son Pasang, according to ward chairman Dal Bahadur Shrestha.
Although the search for the missing ones was intensified, they have not been found yet.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Dolakha, Dipak Khadka, informed that the search efforts were disrupted due to incessant rainfall.
Last Tuesday, Tirish Tamang from Orang of Bigu Rural Municipality-2 was buried in landslide, while on Thursday, the landslide occurred at Marbu Topatar of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-7 claimed the lives of 50-year-old Devi Maya Magar and Prince Thami of one and half-year-old. Two others went missing in the landslide. They were Krishna Magar, 60; and Harila Shrestha,49.
Information about these incidents was shared by the District Police Office, Dolakha.
