Recently, with the third wave of coronavirus, the number of people being infected has increased across the country. Along with the general public, the number of health workers working against Corona has also increased. In Gandaki alone, about 300 health workers, including doctors and nurses, have been infected with the corona in a three-week period.

Health workers at the Western Regional Hospital and the Infectious and Communicable Diseases Hospital under the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences in Pokhara, where corona patients are being treated, are more infected. Nelumbo Nepal, which has been working in the field of health and environment in Pokhara, has provided five staff nurses to the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences after a new variant of Corona, Omicron, spread in the community and infected health workers at the forefront.

A few days ago, Nelambo had assisted four health workers in the transfer and infectious hospital. Nelumbo said that five health workers have been provided for the next six months to ensure that there is no shortage of health workers in the treatment of patients at the health hospital while the health workers are being infected with the maximum number of health workers.

An agreement has been signed between Ekladev Devkota, Chairman of Nelambo Nepal and Dr. Bharat Bahadur Khatri, Director of Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences on Sunday. Chairman Devkota said that there was no shortage of manpower of health workers in Covid-19 Hospital at a time when Covid-19 was invading the world and manpower was provided to help in the treatment of patients. It is said that all the expenses for manpower assistance will be borne by Nelumbo.

Dr. Khatri, Director of the Foundation, expressed his gratitude to Nelumbo Nepal for working with Corona to reduce the risk of Covid-19 from the very beginning. He said that the assistance of Nelumbo, who is doing humanitarian work, was important in the situation where the health workers were infected and there were difficulties in the flow of health services as the infection was increasing in the last few days.
