The police have arrested 40-year-old Sriram Tharu, a resident of Bagmara, Lamkichuha Municipality, Kailali, on the charge of murdering his own mother, 71-year-old Lagni Tharuni.
Lagni, who was seriously injured when Sriram hit her with an axe, died during treatment at Nabajiban Hospital Dhangadhi. He was arrested by the police from Deurali Community Forest.
The police are investigating further in this regard.
