As many as 51 persons have lost their lives in the natural disasters induced by the monsoon in different parts of the country.
Those who were killed in the landslides and floods triggered by incessant rain include 26 males, 15 females and 10 children.
Five persons died in Sindhupalchowk, four in Doti, three each in Rolpa, Tanahu, Dang, Palpa, Darchula and Gorkha, two each in Chitwan, Pyuthan, Dhading, Myagdi and Rautahat, and one each in Lalitpur, Makwanpur, Sarlahi, Khotang, Saptari, Kavre, Sindhuli, Jumla, Arghakhanchi, Kaski, Kalikot, Panchthar, Bajhang and Bajura.
Of the deceased, seven persons were killed in the last 24 hours alone. As per the updates shared by Nepal Police Headquarters, three persons died in Darchula, two in Palpa and one each in Tanahu and Dang.
As many as 1,268 persons were rescued while 29 persons have gone missing in the catastrophe.
