Seventy-five people who had gone to Fuko Namu Lek in Narpabhumi Rural Municipality, Manang, to collect yarsagumba and were stranded will be rescued soon. Palden Chhepal Gurung, former parliamentarian of Manang, informed that efforts had already been started to rescue the three groups of 25 people each who had gone to the area to collect yarsagumba.

Gurung stated that the groups had reached the area about a month back and now could not return home due to the continuous heavy rainfall. He said that it was necessary to rescue them immediately as the flood had damaged the roads and bridges

He further added that the area in which the 75 people have been stranded is close to the border with China and is a very remote place. He mentioned that the inclement weather in the area had made their efforts to rescue them difficult.

On Wednesday, the flood in Manang had damaged the building housing the office of Nasu Rural Municipality, the Dharapani Area Police Office and also the buildings housing Prime Commercial Bank and Prabhu Bank. The flood had also washed away five hotels in the area. Similarly, 48 houses in Talgaun of Nasu Rural Municipality-1 have also been submerged. The flood has also damaged a Bailey bridge and a suspension bridge in the area.

Meanwhile, Nepal Army personnel have rescued 35 people with the help of a helicopter.
