One died and five have been injured in a landslide in Siraha district. The deceased has been identified as Karishma Kumari, 11, daughter of Prakash Kaumat of Dhangadhimai Municipality-5, Jaipur.
A local Santosh Sah informed that she could not be rescued alive despite the efforts of the locals to remove the mound that had fallen.
Karishma's mother Mamta Devi Kaumat has also been injured in the incident. She is undergoing treatment at a local polyclinic. Similarly, Sarita Mahato, 7, daughter of Mahindra Mahato, Savita Yadav, 7, daughter of Rajkumar Yadav, Sita Devi Kaumat, 26, and Ruvi Kaumat, 10, daughter of Indradev Kamait were injured in the incident, said District Police Office Information Officer, Shuvas Dhakal.
Among the injured, Raj Kumar Yadav's 10-year-old daughter Savita has been taken to Biratnagar for further treatment as treatment at the local level was not possible.
