A joint team of the Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal and the Indian Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has vacated the human settlements built illegally in the no man’s land in Sarlahi district. As part of the demolish drive, the team pulled down houses, animal sheds and other structures built by both Nepali and Indian people encroaching on the no man’s land.
Forty-one houses and animal sheds were destroyed in Madhubani settlement of Godaita Municipality-12 in Nepal, and in Mejargunj Prakahnd and Bahera Gram Panchyat ward-12 in India, said Chief District Officer Indra Dev Yadav.
