Some people have been arrested from southern Rasuwa on the charge of slaughtering cows. Those arrested are 44-year-old Murali Bulun, a resident of Kavretol, Kalika Rural Municipality-2, 48-year-old Kancha Lama, and 65-year-old Sarki Syangwa, both residents of Gumbatol under the same ward. Police Office Rasuwa said that the person was arrested from Kavretol near Kalika place at 12:30 last night while keeping the cow meat.
According to District Police Office Rasuwa police chief Subas Budhathoki, an ax used to cut the national animal cow and two machetes were also recovered from the scene.
The incident site is about three kilometers north of
Kalikasthan. On the basis of a special tip-off, the police team led by Inspector Rajiv Basnet, in charge of the Kalikasthan area police officers, arrested the cow killer. The cow was slaughtered at the person's house at 9 o'clock in the night and recovered when it was slaughtered at 12 o'clock in the night and the police suspect that there may be other people involved in the incident.
