At least six people have been killed in a bus accident on the way to Kathmandu from Ramechhap as reported by the police. The accident took place at the border of Sunapati Gaonpalika-5 and Khandadevi Gaonpalika-1 of Ramechhap this morning.
Chief District Officer of Ramechhap Deepak Kumar Pahadi informed that many casualties have been reported in the accident. "Rescue work is underway and more than six people have been reported dead so far," he said.
He said efforts were being made to rescue the critically injured by helicopter. He said the death toll was expected to rise as rescue work continues.
Gita Bista Chaulagain, vice-chairperson of Sunapati village municipality, who was present at the spot, said that the bodies were being collected and the injured were being rushed to the hospital.
