Bagmati Province: 100,000 taking SEE exam

One lakh one thousand seven hundred and thirty-three students are appearing for this year's Secondary Education Examination (SEE Examination) in Bagmati Province.

According to the Directorate of Education Development of Bagmati Province, the number of students taking the exam this year is less than last year. According to the directorate, last year one lakh seven thousand six hundred and 25 students participated in the examination.

Sharda Mainali, information officer of the directorate, informed that the examination conducted under the National Examination Board will start tomorrow on Friday 17th and all preparations for the examination have been completed. He said that in all the 13 districts of Bagmati Province, manpower mobilization, determination of examination centers, delivery of question papers and copies have already been done.

It is said that 434 examination centers have been established across Bagmati province for the examination to be held till 29th of Chait. In this year's SEE examination, the most 36,577 students from Kathmandu district and the least from Rasuwa district 628 students are going to take the exam.

According to the directorate, 123 examination centers have been designated in Kathmandu and five in Rasuwa. Purna Bahadur Darji, director of the directorate, informed that all the necessary preparations have been made for the peaceful conduct of the examination and according to the examination schedule, the examination will be held tomorrow on Chait 17 from 8 am to 11 am. The work of delivering the question paper to the nearest police station and the answer book to the examination center has already been done and security arrangements have also been made.
