Likewise, the Bangladeshi prime minister cordially invited her Nepali counterpart proposing collaboration in the new avenues of cooperation.
In a congratulatory message sent to Deuba today, PM Hasina said the landmark majority Deuba received in the parliament was evidence of trust and credibility bestowed to him by the Nepali people and political parties.
Noting that Bangladesh and Nepal have shared a cordial relation as close neighbours, she said in the message, adding the relationship is multi-dimensional and is based on shared communications to enhance bilateral connections.
Prime Minister Hasina also expressed her confidence that the able leadership of Prime Minister Deuba would be instrumental to further consolidate the existing bilateral cooperation in diverse areas and deepen the mutual support and collaboration by identifying further potential areas of cooperation.
"I have benignly recalled the maiden state visit of Nepal's President on the birth centenary of the father of the nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and the golden jubilee of independent Bangladesh. Chasing the dream of the father of the nation, we with utmost efforts have transformed our nation into a developing economy. We will graduate to a developed economy by 2041 AD".
Calling for Nepal to avail of the socio-economic development made by their country, Prime Minister Hasina expressed her willingness to work in close contact with PM Deuba for mutual benefits.
In the message, she noted that the relation between the two countries which was nurtured on the cooperation and solidarity of the Nepali Congress leadership during the time of Bangladesh independence some fifty years ago would be further enhanced in the coming days.
In the same message, she invited the newly-appointed PM Deuba to visit Bangladesh at the earliest convenient time. Bangladesh Prime Minister Hasina wished for the happiness, good health and success of PM Deuba as well as the peace, progress and prosperity of the Nepali people.
