The vote count which was supposed to begin last night could not take place due to a delay in all-party consensus, Chief Returning Officer Mukesh Upadhyay said. He added it would start this morning. 'The all-party meeting was scheduled for 7.00 am this morning', he said, adding, 'Representatives from the political parties are attending the all-party meeting now. The vote count will begin after the meeting'.
Most probably vote count would start from 9.00 am or 10.00 today, he informed.
Security arrangement has been tightened in the vote count site.
There was a 65 percent voter turnout in Bara 2 in the by-election. A total of 34 candidates, including different political parties and independent were in the election race in the constituency. ---
