A cemented bridge has been constructed over the Jyamire River at Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-5 of Makawanpur district.
The bridge construction project was implemented at a cost of Rs 33.7 million: Rs 8.96 million of the Federal Government, Rs three million of the Province Government and 21.8 million of the local government. The total length of the bridge is 26.65 metres and the width is 7.20 metres.
The bridge was inaugurated by Bagmati Province Chief Minister Dormani Poudel amidst a programme here today. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said 62 bridge construction projects got completed across the Province in three and half years of the formation of the Province Government. Similarly, 400 kilometres of the blacktopped road was constructed in this period.
Makwanpurgadhi’s Chair Bidur Humagain appealed for support from all quarters for the development of the rural municipality.
