Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said he had felt that the China visit was more successful than he had expected.
Addressing a programme organized by Nepali Consulate General here in the course of his China visit, PM Dahal, argued that the success of his China visit would be a matter of interest. "I was wondering how the China visit would be as I arrived here directly from the US. But, I felt the visit was highly successful."
He further said that his meeting with the Chinese President Xi Jinping was of much significance. The Chinese President gave an hour to the Nepali delegation during the meeting. "It is not common for the Chinese President to give such a long time to us during a meeting. We've seen him provide time to other State chiefs. I feel it is a rare moment for Nepali delegation," Dahal asserted.
The Prime Minister also viewed the meeting as a milestone in Nepal-China relations. It would yield positive results soon, according to him.
He further reminded me that he also met with his Chinese counterpart. It was a significant meeting.
"Agreement was made that the border points closed between Nepal and China after the earthquake and Covid-19 would be reopened. It would ease trade and convenience for locals," he said, adding that the agreements and MoU's signed between the two countries were for the interest of Nepal.
On the occasion, he also urged Nepal's Consul General, Nawaraj Dhakal, in Lhasa to work effectively and responsibly.
