Chief Minister of Province 1, Rajendra Kumar Rai, has directed the ministers and secretaries of concerned ministries to work in coordination with each other.
At a half-yearly review program of the ministries and bodies under the Province 1 government on Wednesday, Chief Minister Rai urged them not to see anyone with the eye of political ideology in course of carrying out development activities.
He said, "You should carry out activities as per the plan and objective of our government. Whoever the staff may be, it does not matter."
The Chief Minister asked the ministers not to exert pressure on employees to carry out unnecessary or illegal activities.
He also urged secretaries not to disobey the ministers in course of implementing plans, saying secretaries should openly and transparently describe the laws and issues.
CM Rai mentioned that the government was ready to resolve the issues that are entangled due to acts and laws.
Similarly, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Indra Bahadur Angbo, said that the Province 1 government should respond to the criticism after increasing the number of ministries.
Stating that the difference in budget of ministries as per the nature of activities and responsibility was natural, he pointed out the need of increasing capacity to mobilize and spend the received budget.
Likewise, Minister for Industry, Labour and Employment, Pratap Prakash Hangam, stressed the need to end the tendency of trying to live in Terai during winter and hilly areas in summer, calling for a stable government.
Minister for Transport Management and Communications, Upendra Prasad Ghimire, said that performance of the transport management office would be made more systematic to increase their revenue.
Similarly, Chief Secretary Dr Ram Prasad Ghimire directed the secretaries to work in accordance with the government's policies and programs.
