Former President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has said that the Constitution of Nepal has incorporated all classes and communities.
At a programme organized at Suryapura of Pratappur Rural Municipality in Nawalparasi Paschim to unveil a statue of the late BP Koirala on Monday, the former President said that the constitution has ensured rights of all citizens.
Yadav also said that Nepal's constitution is one of the best constitutions in the world since it has institutionalized rights for all.
On the occasion, he urged the folks to embrace the principle of nationalism championed by late BP.
During his speech, the first president said that Nepali citizens now are becoming more dependent adding that the country has imported a huge quantity of agricultural goods from India and other countries. "This is unfortunate," he said.
Expressing his grief at the excessive extraction in the Chure region, the former president stated that Tarai is like a desert for our failure to preserve the Chure region.
He also warned of a humanitarian crisis in the future due to maximum exploitation of the natural resources.
