Emphasis has been laid on building infrastructure to make the service of local bodies easier and faster. Construction and reconstruction of Dhamadham ward office have started in the Butwal sub-metropolis to make the service effective and convenient. The structure of the ward has been redesigned by rebuilding and repairing Deepnagar in Butwal. The service has started from the reconstructed building of Ward No. 7.
Inaugurating the reconstructed building, Sub-metropolitan Chief Shivaraj Subedi urged to make the service from the ward easy, fast, and effective. He said that the city level plan was made after discussions from the toll level to the ward level and from the ward level and the urban development master plan of the city was decided through discussions. Ward Chairman Kamal Pratap Thapa expressed his commitment to providing more effective services by serving the citizens and developing the ward as a service center.
Ward Secretary Raju Lamichhane informed that the service was started by renovating the ward building at a cost of around Rs. 3.2 million. The new building with two storeys, eight rooms and parking lot including the upper truss has been rebuilt by renovating the vacant building of Deep Pravi of Savik.
Similarly, the construction process of a new building in Ward No. 8 of the sub-metropolis has started. The old and dilapidated staff quarters in the road division premises are being removed and new quarters are being constructed. The land has been acquired for that. Chairman of Ward 8 Bhim Bahadur Shrestha informed that the land has been handed over at a cost of Rs 4 million. A well-organized and modern new building will be constructed in the center of the city and ward no. It is said that the land required for the ward office has come under the jurisdiction of the sub-metropolis. The building of ward no. 10 has already been constructed in Butwal sub-metropolis which has 19 wards and ward no. 2 is also being prepared for reconstruction.
