Senior citizen community building has been built in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-11, to make senior citizen's rest of the life easy.
For the purchase of buildings and land, five lakh rupees have been received by the Government of Province No.1. For the community building, 16 plots of land were purchased for Rs 63 lakh, and a building with an assembly hall of 2,800 square feet was constructed for Rs 70 lakh.
In the community building, senior citizens will be entertained by experts, providing them with knowledge on various topics, giving them information about 'Bhajan Kirtan', modern technology, along with yoga classes in the morning.
Mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan Municipality, Nagesh Koirala inaugurated the building on Friday and emphasized that senior citizens are the living history and jewels of the nation and that their experiences should be used for the development of the society and the nation. There were about three hundred donors who contributed Rs 3 lakhs for building construction and land purchase. ---
